Choosing a robot: feel before rarity

A complete, independently verified robot roster, stat sheet, and current-version test are not available here, so this guide does not assign individual robot rankings.
Beginners: prioritize control
Choose a robot you already own whose basic attacks and special move are easy to understand. Practice against the same bot difficulty to compare your accuracy and how naturally you respond after defending.
Counterpunchers: test your follow-up
Focus on how comfortably you can switch from defense to offense. Track where you tend to make mistakes and choose a robot that fits your reaction rhythm.
Pressure fighters: look for consistency
Test how well you control close-range attacks and your special move. Notice whether continuous offense leaves you exposed. Controlled pressure is a better practice goal than nonstop punching.
Compare fairly
Use the same device, opponent difficulty, and similar situations when comparing robots. Change one thing at a time. Rarity is a reference point, not a substitute for practice.
