More than punches: spacing and counters

Physics-based boxing rewards attention to position and timing. Try this practice routine to understand your matches; it is not a tested, guaranteed winning combo.
Round one: learn your range
Choose an easy bot and try single punches from different distances. Notice where attacks miss, and practice adjusting your position before striking.
Round two: focus on defense
Follow the in-game prompts to practice blocking, ducking, and weaving. Learn to recognize different attacks. Focus on one defensive action at a time.
Round three: defend, then respond
Try following a successful defense with one attack, then return to observing. Establish a repeatable rhythm before attempting more complex sequences.
Add your special move last
Every robot has its own special move. Learn its input, then test when and where it lands. Do not assume that another robot’s approach will work the same way.
